David Bicker's Transport web site
Photographs vary in quality due to them spanning 35 years of picture-taking. Early shots were scanned in from prints. Later shots are digital.
Over the years the quality of digital photos has greatly increased. My early shots were 2 Megapixels whereas my current camera shoots at 10 Megapixels. My mobile phone has a 2 Megapixels camera in it.
Often by the time the images have been re-sampled down to web page quality the difference is less apparent. Only the weaker colours & poorer image definition gives the older digital picture away.
